The cask composition here has been carefully considered. A blend of 65% bourbon barrels and 35% sherry casks, all finished for a final year in sherry hogsheads, creates a whisky of remarkable balance and depth — the lighter, honeyed vanilla character of the American oak providing an elegant backbone, while the sherry cask influence adds richness, dried fruit complexity, and a warming spice that deepens beautifully with the additional hogshead finish.

That Arran has reached this point — releasing a 25-year-old core range expression — is a remarkable achievement for a distillery founded in 1995 and one of the younger names in Scottish whisky.
